Meetings
AVAA meets eight times a year on the second Monday of each month from September to May, with the exception of December. Meetings are held in the Art Room of the Bob Duncan Center in Vandergriff Park, 2800 S. Center St., Arlington, Texas.
Meeting time is from 6:30 to 9 pm. AVAA meetings typically feature a guest artist or someone who works in an art related field who gives a demonstration. The January meeting traditionally is a critique of members’ work by a qualified artist or art instructor. Meetings also include an informal time for networking with fellow members and guests. Members bring art creations for the monthly Mini-show at 6:30 pm and the meeting begins at 7:00 pm.
